Hi everyone. I haven't ventured into electric yet, but it's only a matter of time! I can see all the benefits but still have a question mark over the range. If they can solve the range issue (or make sure there are quick charging points in multiple locations) then they solve one of the last hurdles in my opinion (okay well maybe bringing costs down slightly too would also help). Has any particular battery, or car manufacturer, managed to push the boundaries on range yet, to stand out from the pack or do you think there will be a breakthrough in the next 5 years? Thanks Matt

Personally I don't think range is the issue anymore, my thirsty V6 only gets about 400 miles to a tank, and I neve drive that far in one go. The problem is re charging, that has to improve massively. Down to a few minutes and with infrastructure everywhere.
Hi Matt, welcome to the site. Loads of breakthroughs happening with battery power density at the moment, with cars with range well over 300. I might do a news page to update on these technologies. Keep an eye out.
