I have already built an RX8 EV - mark 1. Was slow and terrible range! I am now putting a leaf motor in it with batteries for mark 2.

I think the range and performance will be very similar to the Leaf. In fact it might perform slightly better in 2nd as the ratio is larger and overall I think the car will be lighter than the Leaf!
Hi Dave, welcome to Chargeheads. I've enjoyed your build and can't wait to see the battery upgrade results. Did you decide what you could sell an Rx8 with the leaf batteries for? Also have you worked out the range?
